Preserving the history, heritage and evolution of policing in Trinidad and Tobago.
Established on September 22, 2004, the Museum of the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service was created with the approval of the Commissioner of Police, Trevor Paul. Founded by W.P. Sgt. Sheila Prince, Museum Curator, and Constable Nigel Stephen, Videographer, the museum began with a single room inside the historic Old Police Headquarters dedicated to preserving and showcasing the history of policing in Trinidad and Tobago.
Over the years, the museum has grown into an engaging educational and cultural space that welcomes schools, families, researchers, and visitors from across the country. Through exhibitions, historical collections, community outreach, and digital initiatives, the museum continues to share the evolving story of the TTPS and its role in national development.
Our museum serves as a free educational resource where visitors of all ages can explore history, discover careers within policing, and engage with interactive exhibitions in a welcoming environment.
Whether you are visiting for learning, exploration, or inspiration, the Police Museum offers a unique opportunity to connect with the heritage and evolution of policing in Trinidad and Tobago.
